Atelierr/Apply to join
Currently 4 open seats · 10 max

Apply to join the team.

You build custom AI agents for businesses. You ship. You're independent. You're tired of Upwork's bidding theatre. This is that — but quiet, curated, and without the skim.

step one · the bar

One test. Show us real shipped work.

not a resume

We don't read PDFs.

No CV, no case-study deck, no LinkedIn-import. None of that survives first contact with a real brief. We don't waste your time reading it.

not a pitch

We don't read pitches.

Everyone in AI has a pitch. If your pitch were load-bearing, you'd already be full. It isn't, and you aren't — so show us the thing.

proof of craft

One agent you've shipped, in any form.

A paragraph about what you built and for whom. Plus, optionally, any proof that form actually takes — a 60-second Loom, a GitHub repo, a case study post, a client reference, a phone number to call, a public URL if you happen to have one. We don't care about the medium. We care that it's real.

step two · what you get

What a seat on the team is worth.

step three · what it costs

Eight percent. That's the whole model.

Applying & joining Free
Monthly / annual fees None · no membership, no listing fee
Your cut per deal 95% of your quote · 5% service fee deducted at payout
Client's cut per deal Quote + 3% handling · held in escrow until release
Total take 8% total · less than half Upwork (~18%) or Fiverr (~25%)
Payouts Stripe Connect · wired to your bank on release · 1–2 business days

No flat membership. No listing fee. If you never close a deal on ATELIERR, you pay ATELIERR nothing. We only make money when you make money — aligned incentives.

The math: on a $10,000 project, the client pays $10,300, you receive $9,500, ATELIERR keeps $800. That's roughly $1,500 more in your pocket than the same project on Upwork.

submit your application

Describe your work. Proof is optional but helps.

Screenshot, short Loom export, PDF of a case study — up to 3 MB.
We reply within 7 days. If your lane is already covered and we're not opening another seat in it, we'll tell you directly. No ghosting.
common questions

Actually common ones. No filler.

My agent doesn't have a public URL.

Fine. Most don't — voice agents live on phone numbers, internal agents run inside n8n or Slack or a client's SaaS, confidential work has no shareable link. Describe what you shipped in the work-description field. Attach a Loom, a repo, a case study, or nothing. The form is the thing we judge, not a URL.

Everything I've built is under NDA.

Redact and describe. "Built a voice agent for a 14-office dental group that confirms appointments in four languages, reduced no-shows by 30% over six weeks" tells us what we need even without the client's name. If we need a reference, we'll ask you for one privately.

How do I actually get paid?

However you want. Client pays you directly — invoice, Stripe, wire, whatever you already use. We don't see the transaction. For your protection, most operators use fixed-price milestone contracts (40/30/30 or similar).

What if there's a payment dispute?

You handle it with the client, like you would on any direct contract. We'll sometimes mediate informally — but we're not an escrow service, and we don't pretend to offer protection we can't actually deliver.

Why only ten seats?

So the signal stays high. A client browsing the team shouldn't need to scroll past 400 profiles to find the right lane. Ten people, one per clear lane, each with a live agent.

Can I be on ATELIERR and Upwork and Contra at the same time?

Yes. We're not exclusive. We just ask you reply to ATELIERR briefs within your stated reply window.

My lane isn't in the dropdown.

Pick "something else" and describe it. We regularly open new lanes — the dropdown is just the current bench.
